We also have some exciting news to share: Ed Knox has been named the new Head Coach of the Knights Girls Basketball program. Coach Knox brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record to Champe. He is the founder of the Western Fairfax Basketball Club and served as an AAU head coach, giving him deep roots in the local basketball community. Most recently, he spent five years as Head Coach at Lightridge, where he guided the program to a Region Finals appearance and a State berth. Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach at both Park View and Thomas Jefferson. Coach Knox is known for running an up-tempo, aggressive style of play — and he is ready to bring that energy to the Knights. His coaching honors include: • National District Quarterfinalist (2026) – TJHSST (Assistant Coach) • State Quarterfinals (2025) – Lightridge • Regional Finalist (2025) – Lightridge • Potomac District Quarterfinalist (2024, 2025) – Lightridge • BoltBall Finalist (2021, 2022, 2024) – Lightridge Coach Knox is excited to be leading the program.
